The Revenge

Angar is sitting in an empty room amongst dead bodies. Through the hole in the false wall evening sunshine comes through via glass window. Declan realizes they are almost at the top of a high rise. It was fully soundproof and thus no one realized even a peep of the combat. FBI force was landing via helicopters on the top of the building.

Both Angar and Declan are beaten up.

<Closeup Angar> Angar digs his left hand below his vest which was covered by a now torn formal shirt. He is injured at the hip. There is a bullet hole. His face is still the same as before. no sign of pain though he is unable to me.

Declan Yells

“Angie!”

“Yes Dad”, she yells back through the small hole of the safe room

“Are you okay?” He yells again so that Angie can hear him.

She also yells “yes dad, I am fine.” “How are you doing?”

“I am doing fine Angie…considering the situation” Last part he mumbles

“Stay there till help comes”

He gets up and reaches Angar. Trying to lift him. Angar refuses.

“I am okay here. I need to rest a bit”

They look at each other.

“It will unlock. “Angar looks at his watch “in about 10 minutes.” He shows his small beeper to Declan “More forces are coming”

Once Declan is sure Angi is safe, he looks at Angar, he looks tired and exhausted. “Are you okay?”

Without answering Angar looks at Declan’s eyes sharply

“I know” Angar says

Declan gets afraid for Angi “You know what?”

“Kandahar” as Angar speaks more his breathing gets a bit heavy

Declan sort of gets clearer about what Angar is talking about and gets more afraid for Angi.

“What about Kandahar?”

“I know you were that Drone operator”

Declan is in complete shock. He also felt a bit of relief as if it is all in the open.

“What. What are you saying. ? “…Angar looks at him with a mild smile as in your jig is up, Declan gets that look and gives up pretending." when did you know?”

In Shock Declan asks all questions at once.

Angar looks up Declan “For a long time.”

“How? “

“Your first kidnapping attempt. When my NRD contact did not want you to work with me. I got suspicious. I wanted to know more about you. I did a little dig up of my own. CIA’s hacking training over seven years was helpful”

“You hacked CIA computer?”

“No, this side. they are not great with encrypting”. Angar signs and says as speaking gets difficult

“If you knew, why did you help me? Help Angie…?”

Angar is visibly diminishing, While Declan then gets defensive “We are good guys you know …war has colla..”

Angar interferes emotionally and with heavy breathing “No. No. No. Don’t talk about collateral damage… That is BS”. He calms down by the end of that sentence. “Good Guys give their own lives to save one innocent” He points to the safe room where Angi. “It matters to that collateral, her father, mother, grandfather, grandmother and….ha..ha” ends with painful moaning.

By now Declan realizes that Angar is fatally wounded. He tries to lift him

“Oh man. You are dying” “Common you need help”

“No…I am going to stay with Angie. She reminds me of Moni. I left Moni and she is Gone. I don’t want to leave Angie”,

“No, I can’t be responsible for your death too”, Declan almost cries.

Angar looks at him with his dying eyes. He recites a Al-Fathia Sura (A verse from Quran) <Flash back, next chapter 31 over Sura VO of Angar>.

At the end of Sura Angar goes “Declan. I forgive you.”<> “I pray to Allah to forgive you and your sins. You deserve to live guilt free” <Highlight and theme of the movie. Music builds up and highlight>

“How can you?”

“You are just a pawn just like these guys, don’t really know what your master wants” points out to the dead guys” Declan looks around.

“Take care of Angie”

Those are his last words

<slow mo/ Drone> As Angar’s eyes close, he runs into the smoke after the blast, searches for his daughter Moni with his hands. He finds the leg. Moni is whole this time, she wakes up, Angar gets happy. He hugs her tightly. He tears, Moni hugs Angar in fear. Angar looks up to the sky and cries <close on Angar’s face. don’t show sky>. Angar’s wife runs towards both from smoke and hugs them both. All cry with happiness and a relief of being safe. <Freeze Angar looking to the sky<right profile>, Moni hugging Angar <left profile> with eyes closed. Angar’s wife left profile looking happy at both. <freeze the frame and credits at the bottom of the screen>
