Scene 17

Agents drop off Declan in front of his house.

Declan uses his keys to enter the house. He walks slowly not to disturb sleeping Sara, however when he turns on the bedside lamp, Sara wakes up

Sara (Waking up)
“Declan?”

Declan (Apologetic)

“Hey Honey. Sorry I woke you up”

Sara (Waking up)
“Where were you?”

Declan
“I wandered aimlessly, but it turned out to be an eventful night”

Declan gets to the bed

Declan

“I didn’t want to disturb your sleep. I will tell you all I can tomorrow morning”

Sara
“Hm. No. No Honey. I am awake. I am ready to hear everything”

Declan

“I was wandered over to the alley behind Rosa’s. Then I saw someone dumbing a big mattress wrap up. They were not able to carry it. When I offered to help, they started running away. I am not sure what happened to me, I felt normal as a Marine after a long time. I chased them. “

Sara was able to see Declan getting excited after a long time

Declan

“I beat him up. I am not even sure how I overcame my issues. Cops showed up. We realized there was a guy inside the mattress. He was still breathing. Gues who was it”

Sara

“Who?”

Declan

“They said they are FBI”

Sara

“What you mean by they said?”

Declan

“I don’t think they are FBI. Must be one of the spy agencies”

Sara

“Are you sure?”

Declan

“I felt it”

He pauses for a second and continues

Declan

“But the twist was, they claimed the guy in the mattress was also one of them”

Sara

“FBI?”

Declan nods suspect fully.

Declan

“Anyhow they thanked me and dropped me here.”

Declan sounds relieved and enthusiastic about something after a long time. Sara notices it and genuinely feels happy herself for him. She hugs Declan

Sara

“I am proud of you honey Let’s get some sleep. We can discuss the rest tomorrow”

Both switch of the light and go to bed
